The group is an internationally recognized leader in modeling the environmental fate of chemical pollutants, and is dedicated to developing tools that support sustainable chemistry. They have excellent computing facilities collaborative links to world leading experimental fate and exposure groups. They conduct a challenging research using computer models to study the effects of climate change on persistent chemical micro-pollutants. Like climate change, persistent chemical micro-pollutants are a global-scale environmental challenge because they can be transported over long distances in air and water to remote regions. It needs further development and apply the well recognized BETR-Global model to evaluate the effects of different climate change scenarios on the global fate and transport of persistent micro-pollutants.
