How to inmigrante to Netherlands (Non-EU citizen)

Hey guys, welcome to this episode of immigration to Netherlands and if you're new here, welcome! so nice to have you. This is an article all about expat life and Entrepreneurship here in the Netherlands. And today we're talking about moving to the Netherlands as a non-eu individual. So if that is you then please continue reading whole article as a non EU citizen.
Startup Visa

I know how tough it can be to actually go through this whole procedure of moving from one country to another. But in the case of the Netherlands, it really doesn't have to be all that complicated,. Especially if you're an entrepreneur or if you have the goals and the vision to start your own business. So the first way to actually move here is through the startup Visa, which I will get into in a minute, but I suggest before you even consider for that, to come here with a Regular Visiting Visa which lasts about 90 days. Check out the country. For yourself do a little bit of sight visiting check out. What the startup culture here is alike and then the most important of course is to do a lot of networking. Because when you have that Network, you're able to actually apply for the startup Visa with the chances of it being approved move much quicker because ultimately you're showing that you've done your research. You've been forming these Partnerships with entrepreneurs who are already based here and if you know a little bit about startup Visa, basically, you know that you need to have a facilitator or a mentor in the industry where you're trying to make it.

You can find by research on internet some facilitators and potential mentors but if you donot find, write to us.

Basically what this means is that when your Visa gets approved, the government wants to know that there will be somebody who's already based here willing to Mentor you to make sure that you can set up your business successfully. Now this Visa unfortunately is only valid for one year. So you have that period to get your idea off of the ground and ideally to make it as profitable as possible. Only after that you can actually apply to stay as a regular person here, just a normal residency permit Visa as an employee of the company that you establish.

Regular Employee of a Big Corporation

However during this time it might just be so that the person who was mentoring or you're facilitating for you, they also want to hire you. In that case you can just get to stay in the Netherlands as a regular employee of a big Corporation.

Cost for Startup Visa

For a startup that was already established, it's also really important to act here for those who might be curious how much it costs to apply for such as startup visa. That is around 300 euros and more detailed information about it you can find by internet research.

Highly Skilled Migrants Visa

Now moving on from that, for those who actually don't really want to start their own business, you can apply for an international or a multinational company based in the Netherlands. What's so fantastic about these companies is that they're actually looking for highly skilled people. In that case, if you get accepted, you can move to the Netherlands under a highly skilled migrants Visa. In that case the company takes care of everything for you pretty much and what's so great about that is, when you are here, you are subject to the 30% tax which means the thirty percent of your monthly income does not get taxed and that is wonderful if you want to make a decent life while you're living here. Usually this applies to jobs in engineering or many others. Find them by internet research. However, there are other great jobs that are very highly paid. Do make sure to check.

Live with a EU partner

The last way you can move to the Netherlands as a non-EU that I will be mentioning is that if you have any partner and you're coming to the Netherlands to live with them. Now this I assumed but, however, in the Netherlands partnership doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be married to your partner who is an EU citizen. In this case he or she needs to just make sure that they're able to provide for you, when you move to the Netherlands, that you have a durable relationship and by durable it means that you're either live together at least for six months or you have a child together, but in any case you have to be able to prove that this relationship is based on something long term for you to be able to get to seize up and there are some other specification that you have to fulfill that are required by the IND (ind.nl), which is the branch in the Netherlands that takes care of everything regarding immigration and tradition.

So I'm super curious too. Why you want to move to the Netherlands and how you will? In Netherlands, do you want to have your own startup? Are you coming here because you're going to be a highly skilled migrant or have you relocated because your partner is based here. Let me know writing down in the comments below and thank you so much for reading this article and I'll till the next one. Don't forget to stay awesome. Bye-bye.
