How to immigrate to Austria for Non EU citizens

Welcome to my article my beautiful friends! I hope you're having a lovely time with your family and friends.

Of course, maybe right now you're sitting in your living room and reading this article to know how to move abroad, even to Austria, but you don't know how good are the chances that you might get a job in Austria. So if that's you, then keep reading this article my friends because this article is to explain you.

Now the question is to detailing the job market opportunities for people who are from a non-european union country. Many of us know different rules apply and there are many obstacles to overcome. We'll give insights into how companies sort the candidates and what are the chances for hiring someone who doesn't have a European Union citizenship.

So first of all, we must know that different rules apply for the non European Union citizens and of course, it means more work for the employee and of course, the employer as well. But on the other hand if you fulfill the requirements and maybe get some help from an immigration expert who guides you throughout the whole process, you might be sitting in Austria and start working in here within six to eight weeks.

VISA for Austria

Let's say a company in Austria wants to hire you, so first what they need to do is to send an application to the public employment service. And different rules apply to different cities. So depending on the region on Austria, the process might be different or it's requirements might be slightly different in order to apply. Different documents are required like your passport, your CV, and a detail job description from the employer from the company and if all the requirements are being met, you're on your way to Austria now.

Visa Rejection

There are different reasons why your application might get declines like, for instance, if the public employment service thinks that they're enough unemployed people on a local job market in Austria, and if that's the case, then the office is going to tell the employee here. So your company has to look on the local Austrian market.

Hence, that's something important to know the local job market. So locals, the austrians, need to be considered first and it's kind of makes sense. Imagine that there is a huge unemployment in Austria and companies are hiring people from abroads, maybe, just because it's cheaper.

But, of course, when it comes to certain positions and certain job profiles, that's not the case in Austria. So more and more companies are struggling to find talents and hiring people from abroad which makes sense, for example, let's say companies working on a new product and it needs technicians or engineers and they cannot find them. What happens! is that the company loses money if it can't find a person to do the job and that it needs in order to grow. So that's good news for you who exactly gets admitted.

For example, there is a huge company within the animal food industry and, of course, they are looking for very specific profiles. And since it's not easy to get them locally in Austria, they hire people from all around the world, from Asia, Latin America etc. So there are different profiles that need the requirements of highly qualified employees or experts, skilled workers, shortage occupations, students that finish their studies in Austria, startup, Founders and Freelancers.

You can also check out the Austrian migration.gv.at Page for more details. Now how exactly does it work?

Scoring system

Now, there is a scoring system. More points you get to better and to more qualified. You are more experience, you have better points. Your language skills are better, the more points you will get. You can again check out scoring on the migration.gv.at page and see how many points you might get. You can check out the occupations with the biggest shortages.

Job Seeker Visa

Mostly it's technicians and engineers, but also construction workers, nurses etc. You will find the whole list. If you get enough points, you can apply for the Job Seeker Visa which allows you to come Austria and you want to spend some time looking for a job.

Six Months Visa

You will have exactly six months for finding a job and if you succeeded you can stay in Austria.

I hope that helps and it gives you a bit of a better knowledge for how the market works and how good are your chances to be admitted to one of the job opportunities that are on the market.

What's it helpful!

Do you have any question and what are the requirements to come to your country? Is it different from the system that we described, let us know it.
